Are You Still Using Out Dated Network Marketing Methods To Grow Your Business?
Are you one of those people who was told to multiply your network marketing business using the 3 foot rule; any person within three feet of you is a prospect. Have you been hanging flyers, chasing down family and friends from your list of 100, and inviting people to hotel meetings?
When I first got started in the network marketing industry I was instructed to do these things by my upline. I sat down in a tim hortons with two of my other buddies that got me in the business, and we went through all my friends on facebook, and gathered all the phone numbers in my i phone. I phoned some of them and questioned if they would be interested to make some extra money.
It was challenging to persuade anybody because my upline taught me that I was not to tell them what it was I had that could make them extra money; I was told to make them watch a video that was awfully unclear and really made no sense, and then get them to go to a hotel meeting. I invited 3 friends to a meeting in downtown Toronto it took me 3 hours to get there, it was snowing and after the meeting my friends didn't even sign up! It was a terrible experience for me.
After about six months of rejection and no sales, I realized that my upline had no idea what he was speaking about and his methods of growing a victorious business were out dated and did not work. I ended up getting out of the company, but I by no means gave up on the dream of earning monthly residual checks, because I hated working for others and wanted to be financially solid. Then one day I found out "how" to develop my business outside of conventional means.
The "HOW" is a marking system. There are many out there. Many claim they can increase your hits and drive massive traffic to your website.
Now, is this traffic you really desire? Is this "targeted" traffic you can truly use? People confuse a lead is something that is automatically valuable. No, not every lead is considered equal. Driving "targeted" leads with a marketing system that draws your target audience to a place where they can sign up for more information is the goal.
Your marketing system doesn't need thousands of dollars to work. The idea is repeatability. Go after one that is generic enough to use and doesn't interfere with your current home business. Automated sales and information capturing should only be part of the marketing system. The whole system should help a distributor attract, capture, and provide service.
