What Worked 50 Years Ago In Your Network Marketing Business Won’t Work Today

Network Marketing is a comical industry that's simultaneously filled of almost 'spiritual' training dogma, but at the same time - it's got some of the most brilliant marketing tactics in the entire world of business. when you first get started in the industry, you could luck out and get a sponsor that knows what it takes to recruit people with modern day tactics, or you could get a person that knows nothing about creating wealth in network marketing
honestly it can be very difficult when you are new and dont know what kind of training is good training to build your business.

here is a good example to illustrate to you what i am talking about. Let's say you get involved in a business opportunity, and you have an upline 10 levels above you who built almost all of his Network Marketing team back in the 1970's. So what he's most definetely to do is presumably give you a list of things to do that worked 40 years ago when he first got started.

There's a problem with getting training like that.

You see, what worked in Network Marketing 30 years ago might not necessarily work today, the market has changed, response has changed, and even though people say it is a relationship business model, the way that people build the business and build relationships today has changed dramatically.

For example, you might get educated to lead every one over to your house to have a gathering where you present your business opportunity - something that may or may not work at all in your business, but would have Absolutely worked well 40 years ago. 40 years ago in North America, people knew their neighbors on a first name basis - today,they've never even met them half the time.

so would it make any sense to continue to use those old approaches in such diffrent environments? No. I find, for example, when training my Network Marketing team that people in certain ethnic demographics do well with home meetings, and that predominantly white Caucasian people tend to absolutely stink at them.

Sometimes, mentors who have been around a zillion years do what I like to call 'Dumb big network marketer stuff.' Don't get seized into a belief system that doesn't serve your business.
